American Machine Tool Repair was founded in 1964 and currently employs 10 highly skilled craftsmen. In 2007, AMTR moved into a new 25,000 sq. ft. custom built facility with lifting capacities of 30 tons.

Our facility houses large way grinders, boring mills, lathes, and spray booths. This enables us to complete machines "in house" from start to finish. We have the ability to pickup and deliver machinery with our own International tilt body truck.

We specialize in precision hand scraping and complete way restoration which is a unique art that has been mastered by AMTR.

AMTR services the entire east coast and performs way grinding services for companies all throughout the U.S. and Canada.
